why so dark!?
What a fucking Genius......
YOOOOOO! AT 1:45 they hit the gass and I totally took a ride
I concur. I played drums in a band that Scott was in right before he moved to LA & went to GIT. He was a great player and composer back then. We lived in the same rat infested house before I moved out to go to FAU. A very difficult time in my life. Marimba? Piano skills? Theory ? I'm a drummer. Too bad I didn't have a rich daddy to send me to school. Pay for room and board, all your bills. I had to support myself which is why I'm a truck driver & not a musician. Boo Hoo!!!!
These guy's sounded like the next level of Weather Report . I actually played with Scott the year before he moved to LA to go to GIT. We were in a band together & were room mates but we weren't like best friends but not hostile either. He was an amazing guitar player and composer before he went to GIT in LA. I would like to think we were friends but we were very different people. I knew he was special & he was and more. God bless you Scott. You did everything I wanted to do but never managed to make it happen. I hope all is well with you & yours. Peace, William Tell Pinner the 3rd

Joey Heredia on drums! Тогда он был самым многообещающим в этом стиле - самым упругим, взрывным, звонким, хлёстким, реактивным барабанщиком, умеющим работать с тишиной - продолжение Alex Acuna Heawy Weather WR. Привет из России😊
Being able to sing as well as these guys play their instruments is a real blessing. Now I am awaiting my own GARY WILLIS SIGNATURE BASS hopefully it arrives before summertime is here. Really stoked to unleash some AUTOMATIC FLOW & reinforce my vocals automatically with it.
most underrated superb guitar master....he is on top of the predators chain of guitar creative monsters.. such a Holdsworth, Scofield, Metheny, Dimeola, Gambale...
I was at this performance. Attended MI at the time. This was an eye opening experience. To witness this in person was unreal.as shock to the system. Heredia literally did the best drum solo I've ever heard in my 40+ years of playing/listening.
I understand he has very high standard, but his tone, touch, rhythm, ideas.... always inspire us very very and very much. Scott, Allan, Frank, ones of my very favorites and ones of my all-time heroes!
Thanks for posting this. I wish there was more videos of Scott live performances.
A lot is being talked these days about modern young guitar players and yes they are some, let´s say Matteo Mancuso who is really superlative but despite new players, I never saw, still didn´t see or hear any player like Scott. his ferocity blended with the use of the real bop vocabulary within the boundaires of a highly overdriven guitar is really unique and despite he doesn´t like to play standards or stuff like that, doing the cover of this incredibly complex tune, shows what he is really capable of. Kudos to the band. You don´t play with the man if you aren´t really phenomenal.
Fantastic
🤯
Goldy on keys!!!!
Obviously a Jeff Beck fan..
Wonderful.
This tune in particular was so impressive to see live, and I was lucky enough to catch Scott dozens of times in the 90's at La Ve Lee in Studio City, CA. Great times.
Jazz Fusio の最強レベルはこれだ!!!
Almost like Allan Holdsworth. Yeah his closed like him.
Still my favorite guitar player
It's like a metal version of Weather Report.
Amazing playing by all! Henderson and Willis have a laugh as Covington bulldozes through the changes around the 5:25 mark.
I had to look closely and count the bass player's fingers.
this is legend .

I can't believe these guys played at a bar in Albany, NY right around this LPs release date. This was their 2nd tune. Holy Crap!! So goddamn funky.

Suck it bitches! These guys kick ass...
That's disgustingly Great!!! I start to leave my body every time I hear his Sh*t !!
Coolest band ever
My favorite Tribal Tech's tune ever Thank you Scott for giving us such a beautiful master groovy piece.

👽👾🤖🤘🏼
Here in June of 2023, I'm hearing this composition for the first time! I have all the Tribal Tech albums, so I'll have to see if this song title is on any one of them. Thanks to scott686 for posting this GEM!!!
It's "Wasteland" as said in the title of the Video. As far as I remember it's from the "Face First", "Illicit" period. At least the second half of it is Wasteland. First half is "The Orphan" by Joe Zawinul.
Its very honest,an artist
Feel sooooo Goooood!! I want more!
meua migo
Love this tune! Can we see it in full?
You can't get much better than that!
hmm, I've seen You play many times and this looks familiar...was this at Le Va Le in NH in the early 90s??
So ridiculously good in every way...so glad I experienced these mindblowing gigs live...those were the days
Oh yes, they certainly were. And these are the days.
I love dixie dregs and I love steve morse black hair too
Celestial
I talked to Joey Heredia a couple times, once at the Baked Potato in Studio City, once at a drum clinic at West L.A. music in Santa Monica. He's a real cool cat!
